House Renovation

The house renovation is coming along nicely, having been in the house almost 3 years (moved in just after youngest was born, photo is from before we moved in) it has been slow going up to now but it is coming together at last.

The house was a wreck when we purchased it, having been empty for a year and rented out prior to that, and the decoration is as it was when it was built.

In the first year we replaced all the rotting wooden windows with new double glazing. The second year has seen a lot of re-modelling, with walls coming down, new walls going up, a new en-suite going in as well as a complete new central heating system.

We are now in the process of having the ceilings skimmed and and made nice and flat, with new Coving going up throughout, after which things should start to look better. Still a long way to go though and a lot of hard work until it is finished, but it should be worth it in the end as it is in a wonderful spot we live in.
